Dalyan is a tiny town in the province of Mugla on the south-western Mediterranean within a broad delta of an astounding and unspoilt natural beauty.
Water circulates through the Dalyan Channel between the Mediterranean and Koycegiz Lake and slowly meanders, forming a labyrinth of small lakes and waterways through mysterious reed beds.
These wetlands are an ideal place for bird watching. The sea is divided from the delta by the Iztuzu sandbar.
